It is said, according to Italian tradition, that raining on your wedding day is good luck and if that's the case, this particular couple received a lot of luck. This is the wedding of Ashley & Keegan. They were married on a rainy day 07/09/2016 at the Windcrest Tree Farm, East Kingston NH. Fortunately it didn't rain heavy until after their ceremony.
When I first got there, the guests were just arriving. I had just finished taking pictures of the dress and the shoes when I noticed I was being watched by two pairs of tiny little eyes. They were the eyes of two small invited guests watching me photograph. This gave me a great photo oppurtunity to capture their smiling faces. At the ceremony site, where a nervous groom was pacing back and forth waiting for his new bride to arrive, guest were quickly filling the seats. Back at the hostess abode, Ashley quickly and excitedly prepped for the event. I found her sitting getting the customary makeup done and she looked STUNNING! The moment had finally arrived at the reception with Ashley walking down the aisle to meet Keegan underneath a birch arbor. They were finally married as more of the raining came barreling in. Then came their formal wedding portraits. Who can resist photographing a young couple in love in a rustic barn, NOT meeee! The rest of the day was filled with guests and the couple running in and out; dodging the beading rain. Well, the general consensus is, according to the Italian culture, they had a perfect day. Just remember the Italian wedding saying, “Sposa Bagnata, Sposa Fortunata,” which after being translated from Italian literally means “Wet Bride, Lucky Bride.”
