| MELISSA DELROSSI |
| Melissa DelRossi Associate Partner I am an alumni of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, in Boston, and a graduate of the University of Maine at Augusta. I’ve received my BA in Fine Art with a concentration in photography in 2007. I studied video for five years, spending my first year of college at SMFA doing editing work, before realizing it was the camera I was interested in. During my studies at UMA, I’ve had the honor of working in one of the few traditional wet labs remaining, Photographic Traditions, located in Portland, Maine, that has unfortunately since closed. I have been honored as the university’s first student photo lab coordinator, as well as the recipient of the 2007 Outstanding Art Student Award. I have been freelancing for several years, photographing buildings, to bands, and children, as well as a being a lab tech for six years, specializing in color photography. Before teaming up with Robert, my current experience had been studio work. As an artist, I also work with charcoal, oil paint, and ceramics, though my focus is with photography. Working in other mediums allows me to keep a fresh perspective, constantly reevaluating what photography is to me and what I can bring to it, as I am always reminded the importance and interconnection within all art. Under the direction of Jere DeWaters, Luc Demers, and Ryan Flathau I have had the opportunity to learn from very skillful and knowledgeable individuals- as photographers, artists, and people. Their guidance has taught me to hold my camera with strength, honesty, and determination. -Melissa DelRossi |
